Travis Johnson wins at K-1!!!- Team AKA fighter Travis Johnson made an impressive showing at the August 15th "Battle At The Bellagio" K-1 event. Johnson stopped his opponent by TKO at 1:54 of the very first round. The fight saw Johnson dominating his opponent, Adrian Foster, by scoring two knockdowns before the referee called a stop to the fight. With the win Johnson now pushes his record to 15 wins and 2 losses with 13 KO's. We look forward to great things from Johnson in the near future.
Gary Owens wins his first pro boxing match- Gary Owens ended his first professional boxing match in dramatic fashion, scoring a knockout of Carlos Espinoza in the third round of action. The fight got off to a bizarre start when the referee called a stop to the action after just a minute and ten seconds. A hole in the ring floor was discovered and needed to be repaired. After a short delay the action continued. With 29 seconds remaining in the round the referee once again called a stop to the action when another hole was discovered. The round ended with Owens landing a beautiful combination to the body. Round two saw Espinoza pick up the pace early in the round and the round appeared even once Owens landed some shots to send Espinoza backpedaling. In the third round Owens took control of the fight and ended it with authority to get the knockout.
