MMA Mexico Update- Team AKA fighter Hannibal Adofo will not be competing in the MMA Mexico event because the show has been cancelled. Hannibal Adofo will now be competing on the WEC card (Frank Shamrock, Return of a Legend) being held in Leemore, CA on Thursday March 27th.

WEC Update- Team AKA fighters Eric Wray and Christian Wellisch will not be competing in the WEC show (Frank Shamrock, Return of a Legend). Team AKA fighter Hannibal Adofo will enter the show representing team AKA and fighter Mike Swick is still scheduled to face Kengo Ura.

Team AKA in WEC- Team AKA fighters Mike Swick, Eric Wray, and Christian Wellisch will also be fighting at the World Extreme Cagefighting event on Thursday March 27th in Leemore along with Frank Shamrock. The match-ups are below:

Mike Swick vs Kengo Ura
Eric Wray vs Brandon Wolff
Christian Wellisch vs TBA

Team AKA in UFC 42- Four team AKA members will be fighting in the UFC 42 event being held on April 25th. Sean Sherk, Rich "Cleat" Crunkilton, Mike Van Arsdale, and Josh "The Punk" Thomson will all be on the UFC 42 card. The match-ups are below:

Sean Sherk vs. Matt Hughes
Rich "Cleat" Crunkilton vs. Hermes Franca
Mike Van Arsdale vs. Rich Franklin
Josh "The Punk" Thomson vs. Genki Sudo

Strike Force Results- Team AKA fighters Dave Velasquez, Layla Baird, and Jennifer Nguyen put on outstanding performances in their wins at the Strike Force Kickboxing event held in San Jose, California on February 28th. All three fighters came out with relentless attacks and continued those attacks for the entire fight. Layla Biard defeated Erin Reep despite suffering a separated right shoulder during the fight. Jennifer Nguyen stalked and punished her opponent from start to finish for her win over Kirby Macinnes, and Dave Velasquez captured the ISKA California State title by defeating Mark Tabuso. Team AKA fighter Derek Yuen lost a decision to Maurice Hooks and Team AKA fighter Ronnie Wells also lost a decision to Luke "Sandman" Spicer.

Team AKA in MMA Mexico- Team AKA fighter Hannibal Adofo will be fighting in Cancun Mexico on March 26th for the MMA Mexico promotion. The match-up is below:
